Father-son relationships, best-friend conflicts- alone, volumes could be written about either relationship but "The Kite Runner" manages to work two complex stories together into a loving, sad but hopeful story. An incredible description of the immigrant experience in America, as well. This is storytelling at it's best; Bravo!
