You need to suspend your belief system a bit for this book. It holds your attention and is a quick read for a commitment of almost 600 pages. I did not see the plot twists coming until the very end for this book. The "villain" or hassassin (as Mr Brown calls him) has no character development. He just likes to kill people but the basis of that nasty personality trait is not explored. As long as people realize that this is a fictional work, it is entertaining. I'm uncertain why the Vatican is so polarized by this work other than the fact that Dan Brown wrote it.
