I love a good ghost story! I don't really read many short story collections, but I am a sucker for ghosts. The stories here range in length from a few pages to nearly 100 pages. Niffenegger tells us in the introduction "they are only stories I have chosen because I like them". That's good enough for me. Set in different time periods with a variety of authors including Edgar Allan Poe, Rudyard Kipling, Saki, A.S. Byatt and Neil Gaiman. How can one go wrong with such an impressive list of writers? This is a better than average collection of ghosts stories from spooky to humorous and a range of emotions in between. A keeper!
