After reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns," I had an idea of the hardship painted in this story. What I wasn't prepared for was the inner turmoil and "weight" I would feel for the characters in this book. I felt dissappointed, angry and proud of every one of the main characters at some point. Sad & wonderful at the same time.
