I just couldn't stick with this, I like a well written book but this one is so stupid and very very slow

I like Virgil Flowers and he can get into some messes but this one was too messy and too slow and by half way it had made no progress at all with what he is investigating, I found some of the characters to sound like backwoods rednecks and I got very tired of that

I don't read the Prey series as I don't like the characters at all and I might have to give up on Flowers if Sandford doesn't up the game and write some better stories.
