Jemima J is a late twenty-something in London who is overweight and hides her inadequacies behind all the food she consumes non stop, day and night. From afar, she pines for handsome co-worker Ben, and he appears to never notice her until they take an Internet class for work. They bond over learning the web, and eventually Jemima discovers chat rooms, and starts chatting innocently with a man from LA. She tells him she is young and beautiful, and sends him a very well edited photo of herself, although herself almost 80 pounds lighter!

Eventually she travels to LA to meet Brad, after obsessively working out and dieting her way down to the size she always longed to be. She flies to LA to meet her Internet love, and although things are blissful at first, she soon learns that appearances are not always what they seem.

A good read...kinda hard for me personally to get into at first, because Jemima reminds me of myself about 10 years ago. However, it was overall a good book!
