Sometimes when I read a Robyn Carr book I feel like they are not in recent times. I wish the characters were a little more modern, a little more progressive. They tend to get better as the book goes on. In the beginning of this one, I was very frustrated with both sisters. They both allowed tended to be stuck back in time, especially Addie. Addie has spent the last many years caring for her sick parents. I guess that is why. Despite that, I enjoyed the story. It just took me a while to get to enjoy it and get past the frustration with how Addie and even Justine allowed circumstances to really get in their way. I was happy to see them both get out from under the bad things that happened to them!
