Noblewoman Catherine de la Fer is forced to enlist the services of English mercenary Jack Marstone to teach her the art of self-defense. Of course this turns to a bit more than swordplay of the military sort. I was very pleasantly surprised by this edge-of-the-seat adventure. I found it to be a true page turner.
