I always like Ruth Rendell-this one takes a little time to get into-lots of characters living in this upper class London neighborhood. Once it gets going, and especially towards the end, you think "Oh I know what's happening..." But then, you're wrong. Loved some of the characters, wasn't crazy about some, just like life. I have to say the ending caught me a little off guard, but all in all a good book, by the late Ruth Rendell.
