We all know that sometimes an author takes poetic license by perhaps stretching reality to, perhaps, add excitement or more depth to a storyline, but I found this book stretching it a little too far for believability. Whereas there were plenty of good places to end the book and still leave the reader feeling satisfied, I felt it just went on and on, drawn out a little too far, almost like the author was trying too hard to write a good book. Ive read Lisa Unger before and like her (obviously, otherwise I wouldnt have bought this novel at full price!), so Im used to her style of writing; hence, my feeling that shes pushing it this time around. Its a shame, because this book has potential, with some good twists and turns.
