A dark, frighteningly prophetic tale of a small town that has a virus (No, this is not 2020). One man, the sheriff/ undertaker/pastor, is responsible for everyone's welfare. Not a job for most, (as we know all too well). A quarantine is ordered, or as we call it today, a 'Stay at home order'. Too many parallels between this and modern times. A short book, but every page is full of tragedy, dread, heartbreak and anguish. The world, as these people know it, slowly but defiantly descends into terrifying madness.
