After a few less than thrilling novels from Fairstein, she's back in my good graces with this book. I love the NYC setting and the Edgar Allen Poe tie-in. As far as mysteries go, it's rather predictable after a point, but I'm still engaged.

As one previous reviewer noted, there are several recurring characters and it's nice to see them back in each subsequent book. To me, they're like old friends and I love 'catching up' with them. We're left hanging a bit at the end I am anxiously awaiting the next novel to find out 'what happens' to our trio.
