I read this book from a therapist's perspective. I am a speech therapist that has a growing caseload of children with autism spectrum disorders. This book is geared towards children with autism that are nonverbal or have limited communicative output. There is a large section at the end of the book that provides a good outline of how to apply this "framework" to a chid you may know.
