I've read all the Andy Carpenter series and this one is on the low side, it takes nearly half the book to finally get into the main story and move it along and the dog part just got a bit too contrived for me. I'll continue reading the series as I like the characters but this one with the military involved, etc. just got to be a bit too much, I get tired of the military always involved in a criminal act for money, does that really happen? I doubt it.
