This is probably the worst Ken Follett book I've read, and I have read several. The plot is very unsophisticated for a write of Follett's calibre. The dialogue is hackneyed and typical for 'thrillers' like this. The idea of causing earthquakes may not be completely unrealistic, but the plot development is just sad.
