This book s a great adventure/mystery book! perfect for ages 9,10 and 11. You will become hooked about the story of Kit Kittridge, a girl growing up in the great depression. 10 year old kit is a reporter, and she decides to do a report on the local theatre. The people who work and own the theatre let kit stay around to work on her report under one circumstance: she must help out around the theatre. But suddenly, a large amount of money that was just earned at the theatre disappears! Some people think it has been stolen.Mr. Bell, a witness, claims to have seen a tall man running away from the theatre just after the robbery. Everyone knows that it must have been someone who works at the theatre, because no one else knows where the key to the money box is kept. . . but the only tall person employed at the theatre at the time is a famous actress named Daphne, and she's not a man!!
