The second book in this series is as much fun as the first. All the old friends from the first book are back and faced with a reccurance of the time quilts. This time, however, they are no accident.

Several groups apparently are attempting to manipulate time for their own agendas. Our heroes are simply trying to preserve the past...and future as they are.

In a storm of nuclear weapons, eccentric buildings and space travel, the present is threatened with annialation.

The second half of this book is very hard to follow as you travel through numerous times on the moon, in South America, in Alaska and everywhere and when else. String theory and quantum machanics are involved leading to even greater confusion.

In the end, I'm not really sure if our past and present are saved or changed or splintered into several alternate realities.

Nevertheless, "Thunder of Time" is a really good read with lots of action and great characters who were developed in the first book. Read them both,in order, and you will have a good time.
