Former high-powered litigator Kendra Ballantyne lost her license over a murder charge and now makes a living as a pet sitter. She lives in a small portion of her mansion while renting out the main house, and when her tenants and their illegal pet ferrets get accused of murder, she reluctantly agrees to help because she believes them innocent. This mystery really dragged for me, and while there was nothing I hated about it, there was nothing I really liked about it either. The attempts at humor fell flat, and the revelation at the ending was very contrived and to me a little cheesy. Not my thing at all.
