This book was not written by John Sandford, as you will be able to tell from the first few pages. Lending his name to the cover will no doubt help Michele Cook but will now make me scrutinize future books to be sure they are his work. I have read that the book "Storm Front" from 2013, including a Sandford character Virgil Flowers, was also written by Michele Cook.
