This is the 4th book in the series and the first one I read, it says it can be a stand alone but I don't think so, it refers back to something in other books so you're a little lost on that part, in this one she is on leave from a previous case (again I don't know about it) and she is moving into her childhood home and trying to work with her sheriff boyfriend, but the story is unclear and kind of wanders all over the place

I'm giving it a 3 rating because it did hold my interest but now I need to get books 1.2.3. and that will determine if I keep up with this series or not
