The chemistry between the H&H never quite rang true to me, and I found the prose a little stilted & perhaps a bit overly simplistic. There's a great story lurking in there somewhere, but I didn't get the sense that Suzanne felt inspired to tell it. Tolly was wounded, conflicted, & handsome enough to be intriguing, but Tess was a little lacking in dimension to be a believable match for him. At book 2 of Enoch's Adventurer's Club series, it's perhaps too early to say whether or not this is going to develop into a series with any actual depth and cohesion, I'm just not seeing anything remarkable thus far.
