A year ago, LAPD Officer Mike Valenzuela moved to Virgin River to heal from his wounds and start his life over. Now his friend Brie Sheridan is in Virgin River, visiting her brother and recovering from a beating and rape. Mike will do anything to help Brie overcome her painful past.
I liked this book, but I wish move time could have been spent on Mike & Brie's relationship. There are lots of side stories going on. It felt like the main couple was short-changed. Still, a very good book overall and a nice addition to the Virgin River series. My rating: 4 Stars.
