If you've never read or listened to a Deutermann novel before, you're in for a treat. P.T. is a retired Naval Captain and Arms Control SPecialist, so he certainly has the background knowledge to "know" what he's talking about. This book is what can be classified as a "Top Notch Thriller" that can fit very easily between the "X-Files" and what could become the reality of tomorrow's headlines. I think you'll find this book is highly entertaining, without the excess of techno-babble usually found in books of this type. Granted, there are a lot of acronyms in here He tells you what they mean), but I wouldn't worry too much - they don't take away from the story line. Deutermann paints an unexpected portrait of people, both good and bad who have been chewed up and spit out by the military/government. People holding grudges can resort to some nasty ways at getting even ...... in this case stealing a cannister of "Wet Eye" WMD (weapon of Mass Destruction).... the mystery begins....... Other Deutermann books you may be interested in are: [Cat Dancer], [FireFly], [Darkside], [Hunting Season], [Train Man], [Sweepers], [Official Privilege], [The Edge of Honor], [Scorpion in the Sea]. Enjoy!!!!

P.T. Deutermann's latest is a topnotch topical thriller bursting with the expected expertise and insider knowledge he picked up as a Navy captain and arms control specialist. It's also something else: an unexpectedly resonant portrait of people, good and bad, who have been chewed up and spit out by military bureaucracies.

I really liked the main male character; he wasn't perfect, but real. I thought the ending was just right.

Another great thriller with a military background, which is the forte of P.T. Deutermann. This one involves a missing cannister of "Wet Eye," a biological weapon, and David Stafford's desperate search to find it before it is sold to an arms dealer. Stafford must not only fight the bad guys, he must also rip through the military's bureaucracy and cover-up.

A frighteningly real thriller. The setting is my home state of Georgia.
It has the FBI, the Atlanta military base, hazardous biochemical weapons and thieves. Action thriller.

This was the first book I have listened to by P.T.Deutermann. It was exciting and well written. Dick Hill is a great narrator. Enjoyed this very much and will look forward to listening to another by P.T. Deutermann.
