I thought this book was good but the back of the book says "funny and fast-paced"; I found neither to be true. I thought it was pretty dark & it dragged in places for me. It's a drama, not a comedy.

I really enjoyed this book. The author writes very well. I especially liked that her personal stories & experiences were interwoven with the stories of her patients. It gives a good glimpse into some of the workings of a healthcare practice.

Great memoir.

D.U.M.B. The only thing good about it was it was short. I'm glad I only wasted a couple of hours on it. Not at all frightening (except in how bad it was).

Maybe if the author had written a complete book it might have been better...then again, it might have just been a whole lot more awful. Really morbid & weird.

My daughter did a book report on this book in 6th grade. It really made an impression on her. It is true stories of children who lived through the Holocaust. At the end of each story, it tells where the children ended up after the war & what they did as adults & how they shared their accounts of the war.

It is written very well for children 5th grade or older.

Boring, boring, boring. I kept with it hoping it would get better but it just didn't. Bouncing back & forth from decade to decade just makes it worse.

This is a GREAT book for older elementary or middle school readers (and their parents). It has great lessons in segregation, football & heroism. Also, if you're familiar with Iowa State University's campus, it has some great old pictures of landmarks that are still present today.

My daughter read it in her reading class & she loved it even though she is not a football fan.

Wow. The most disturbing, disgusting book I have ever read. I still thought it was hilarious. If you are easily offended or looking for a reason to be offended, DO NOT READ this book. If you are willing to read without taking things personally, (and don't mind graphic sex, insults against every type of female alive & explicit descriptions of bodily functions) you might be able to enjoy the humor.

HILARIOUS!!! Not for the faint of heart or the easily offended. Very much like "Rescue Me". Loved it.
