An easy read and a heartfelt story about growing up poor in the South. As a fellow Southerner, I especially enjoyed the inclusion of Appalachian grammar with sprinkling of reckons, plumbs, etc. throughout the story.

I loved this book! It was fascinating and heart-wrenching to hear the story of this mother plod along through life with a schizophrenic daughter and a medical system unprepared to deal with this frightening disease. It's interesting to hear how the media can create a stir out of someone else's life and never bother to ask the right questions about the person (such as mental stability). A great read!

Not as fascinating as his first hit, The Tipping Point (which I absolutely LOVED). It seemed contrived to me in that manner that it wasn't so much he stumbled upon another great idea, as he forced an idea that isn't spellbinding into something (anything!!!) to utilize the momentum of his first success. Sometimes genius does not repeat itself, and unfortunately, this is one of those times.

I love Johnny Cash!! Of course, I am not from his generation, but was brought up in the country and have come to love him and his beliefs through his more recents projects including his posthumous movie. This book is an easy read and told from his POV about his life on the road and the characters he encountered along the way. A great read!

Not quite the masterpiece I expected after reading about his travails on the Appalachian Trail, however, it is very informative and worth reading if you are interested in Australia.

This is a really great plan to lose weight healthfully. It's not so much a crash diet as a new way to look at how fill your body with better food for you. I actually enjoyed it.

I loved this book and recommend it all the time! It is about an unlikely athlete who "conquers" the world by swimming across the most dangerous bodies of water on the globe. The determination she showed by swimming icy and/or polluted waters (and working with local governments to achieve these goals) is really inspirational.

Two women debate a lot of the topics in the news everyday. I read this book for work, but found it to be pretty enjoyable and an easy read.
