While I loved the movie, the book was a little harder to digest. Bridget's desperation was a little much for me. (Usually, I love the book and am disappointed by the movie.) However, a good friend thought the book was excellent (and enjoyed the movie as well)!

Excellent novel-- the depiction of the Cheyenne culture is so detailed and the story of the white man's dealings with the Indians is not often told from this perspective. I highly recommend it.
