"Another great exotic novel! Although i did not care for the main character in the beginning, i grew to love her as she set out on her adventures. Great addition if you are an avid Beatrice Small fan. i really don't want to reread it, but it was good nonetheless.

"Wonderful book. The storyline hooks the reader in from the very beginning. This is my own review, not taken from any book or insert.

Privileged Jennifer Andrews, the red haired beauty from St. Louis, has to make a difficult life decision following the death of her beloved aunt. A decision which, ultimately leads to a shocking and dizzying destiny that has her crossing paths and into the arms of mysterious Wade Morrow, who is seeking a destiny of his own. Jennifer quickly learns the hardships women have to endure in the West. Especially when after all she endures, the man she is a mail order bride for, is far worse then any threat of the wild.

Wade Morrow, the handsome, rugged, and wealthy partner of his adopted family's business cannot resist the urge to find the family that left him behind as a baby. Wade has had to endure prejudice and contempt from people his whole life because he is half Comanche Indian, the most hated people in the West. When the beautiful Jennifer gets in trouble, he cannot help but step in and take care of her and falls in love with her beauty and her heart.

Together and seperately, they face trials and tribulations that keep the reader hoping that it is their destiny to be together."

"To be honest, i really did not like this trilogy. i admire the fact that it took a lot of imagination and work to create these characters and this plot, however, i still found all 3 books to be dull and lacking. Definitely not one of her best trilogies.

On the flip side, if you are into fantasy/romance, this might be the book for you."

"Tedious and mediocre at best. The thing is, i still couldn't put it down! That is the spell that Beatrice Small puts on her readers. By the end of the book, i found myself smiling.

Not part of any trilogy or series, but a good "in between" book when you have nothing else to read.

"One of my personal favorites, and definitely a re-read.

The Marquess of Cainewood is on a mission: he wants a man dead. He will stop at nothing until he avenges his brother's death, even if means waiting day after day for the wretched pirate who is responsible, to show his face and fall neatly in his trap. Caine is loyal, brave, handsome, and has a government war record that proves he is ruthless and cunning and always gets his man.

Jade is not a typical lady. Coming from a shady and mysterious background, she carries a huge burden of a secret. This auburn haired, green-eyed beauty keeps the Marquess guessing and confounded from the moment she accidentally steps into his trap and relies on Caine's over zealous need to help her. She tries to elude Caine's soft touches and whispers of love, but learns that it's a battle she cannot win.

Together, they get entwined in an adventure that brings them into each other's arms and begin a romance that is so unconventional, sexy, and at times, hysterical.

One of Garwood's best, i think."

"By far, one of the best books i have ever read. It is book #1 in the World of Hetar trilogy. The magic that Beatrice Small weaves around her readers is a web of fantasy, sensuality, and courage. i have never been more impressed with any fantasy-like settings as i am with this book. Ms. Small reaches deep into the corners of her imagination with this book, and as always, creates a world that her readers just long to be part of.

So far, the 1st book of this trilogy introduces such a broad range of characters and places that keeps the pages turning. Lara, the main character, slowly starts to evolve from humble beginnings to a destiny that forces her to be a warrior, and of course, a lover as well. The book leaves you groping around for Book #2, wanting to continue the adventure.

Very sexual, exotic, and mesmerizing. A must!

"Great story line. Here's my review:

Lady Gillian knows that the dark hides monsters and secrets. One night, when she was very young, her life changed forever. The only problem is that she was too young to remember most of it. Her servant helps her remember her past as she gets older, and Gillian knows that the monsters still wait for her in the form of Baron Alford the Red and his men. After all, she has something he wants.

As an adult, Lady Gillian must return to her former holding, where she witnessed her father's death as a child and face the Baron. She crosses path with a kidnapped child, and in a series of events, meets his guardian, Laird Brodick Buchannan. She turns to him for his strength and protection. He tricks her into marrying him. Together, they set out to destroy Gillian's monsters.

Good book with a great plot. A little weak on the romance side. Love scenes are few and far between, and don't really happen until about halfway through. That was the only disappointment i could find in this book. Great read if you like mysteries.

Happy reading,
Aurielle"
