Book starts of a little slow, but makes me feel like I'm in Indiana, that's why I bought it. She tells a good story. It's worth a read. When some writers set books in Indiana it is very effident that they don't understand small town living in Indiana. I would recommend this book.

Very funny, great read! I just love how Mary Kay Andrews has created the zany character of Weezy! Wonderful story of Christmas in the south. Loved the mystery of Apple Annie. The Blue Christmas window was wonderful! Great quick read. Mary Kay Andrews is a wonderful story teller!

To me, the back of the book made it sound like a wonderful funny read, but after reading the book that promise went unfullfilled. They book is well written but The humor failed me. The thought of "sensitivizing" a man would be funny but the story lines feed to the man went beyond sensible-I guess it would have been funnier if I were a more gossipy woman, but I have never found the need to relate to others on that shallow of a level. The repeated line of dessert going to the man's thighs as being a converstation starter between man and woman sounded fake to me. I guess to me a caring, interested man doesn't have to be a sterotypical "flitting female". As I said to enhance a male's awareness of his female side is one thing but to turn him into a gossipy high school girl with over active hormones just was a little too much for me. But as I said the idea of the story's good but the written story just didn't hit the mark for me. Not a bad work but not one I'd read again and again.

If your child loves Umizoomi this book are scenes straight from the shows. It is for younger children, I got it for my great nephew (he's a fan of Umizoomi) he's 3, I didn't understand how easy this book was until he was working it. He's use to Where's Waldo book and this is much easier.

This is the first series I've read by this author, I wasn't sure what to expect but what I got into wasn't exactly what read. I have a problem with Nicole's offish, unforgiving additude. I wasn't happy with her character in the first book in the series and her grudge holding was just as bad in this book. She did redeem herself a little but the scorn woman was just a little over the top. I fely that the situation would have been funnier if the author had softened Nicole's anger at Jesse and allowed Nicole to move away from the scow. I wished Nicole would have moved forward and opened her ears to Jesse's side instead of not listening at all. Nicole wanted Hawk to move on, but she wasn't one to move passed her own problems with her sisters. I guess when she took in Raoul, yet couldn't even look at Jesse when she needed help. Even though I didn't care for all the situations in the book I didn't quit reading, or regret reading it. It's and okay read, and I will finish reading the whole series in hopes everything will end in an up swing.

When I started this book I felt like I was thrown into the middle of an on going story-the animosity her twin felt for her seemed like a slap in the face that kept being repeated without full disclosure of why. It's not a bad read but I kept feeling like a black cloud was hovering over. I guess when I read a romance I expect everything tied in a pretty bow but this story doesn't follow. I wnted to read something different-I had been reading historicals-and this was that, not a bad read just different than I'm use to reading. This series is an okay read, worth the time.
