Alexander the Great and the Logistics of the Macedonian Army by Donald W. Engels
This is a great book, full of facts, dates, maps, tables and a extensive bibliography. Engels does a wonderful job explaining what it took to move the Macedonian army from point "A" to point "B". I found one of Alexanders rules interesting NO carts, No Oxen. Oxen move slower than Horses mules and camels so they had no place in his army except maybe on the menu. Baggage also slows down the army, so no carts, if you couldn't carry it you didn't need it.
There is one point I will disagree with him on, one of the campaigns was recorded as having cover a great deal of ground in a very short time he said that it was impossible. I know that it is possible. Today endurance riders do 100 miles in 24 hours, and some of them finish the ride in 10 hours. These rides are done in mountains and very rough terrain. Wild horses have been documented to travel 30-40 miles in a day.

Catch A Falling Star: a tale from The Iris the Dragon Series by Gayle Grass
This is an amazing book the opens the door gently to talk about emotional problems in young children with the child. The book stresses kindness and understanding.

Juneclaire Beaumont a poor relation at Stanton Hall. She works as an unpaid servant in her Aunt's home.
Our hero Satan St. Cloud the lordly rakehell from London.
Pansy is lame runt pig, and Aunt says she is to be Christmas Dinner. This sets Juneclaire to flight, for though she will not defy her aunt for her own sake she will for Pansy. Juneclaire Beaumont, Pansy, and Satan St. Cloud are on a collision course and when they meet sparks will fly. This is a very light humorous read and one of my personal favorites. 5 stars

For Shift's Sake (Kindle Edition) by Mina Carter
Reese Connor agrees to stop in at a small town in Tenn. and check on his friend's sister. Bobbi, who runs the diner and the local motel. An instant chemistry between Reese and Bobbi arises as the local thugs threaten her at the diner. If you want to know more you'll have to read it, because it is worth your time:)
And I hope Mina Carter writes more about these Tennessee were-bears.
Who where Bobbies parents? Will Bobbi's adopted brother come home and find love? Maybe the lady were-bear will find love too.
I received an ARC for an honest review of this book.
