The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian
Review Date: 1/4/2016

Not appropriate for children or teenagers. I don't care how well written or highly-rated. Got rid of it after reading just a couple of chapters. Do not get this for yourself or your student!

An exceptional novel about an exceptional man who realizes that no matter what IQ he is at, God-given or artificially, the most exceptional part of living is the relationships that we make. Well-written sci-fi that works for any decade.

Don't let the lack of a picture of the cover of the book scare you! This book is PERFECT for your child that is learning how to read! It is based on phonics and will help your child that is just starting to put sounds together to learn to read. I found it difficult to find the perfect books for this level. Either books were too easy with just one word on a page and not engaging, or they included far too many words that just are not within the child's abilities yet. This book and the others in the series like it, are perfect for that stage. They will not need these books for long, for if they use these, they will quickly gain confidence in reading and move onto longer books. Other books in series include, I See It, Dan Ran, At a Farm, etc.

This is one of my top 5 books of all time. I read it for the first time when I was a bright-eyed teenager in love with books. It brought me to tears. It also opened up my love for historical fiction. What's better than well-written, exciting fiction that also teaches you about history? A classic that not enough people know about! Set in the time of the French Revolution. FAN-TASTIC! I'm quite sure Hollywood will be making a remake of this book sometime in the near future! However, you will regret not reading this in its original format. It's also a great one to listen to via audio with the family!

Great Star Wars book for your Star Wars fan. Lots of great info and great illustrations of your favorite characters as well as many of the not so well known characters! Readers can guess who would win in head to head battles and test their knowledge of the characters!
