"This was my first Ted Dekker book. It was pretty good! I'm looking forward to reading more by him. It really brought to light some of the demonic activity that as Christians we often choose to ignore. I was a little scared at first (I tend to get scared easily), but when I put it into perspective of Christ's victory, I began to appreciate it more. Give it a try! It's definately worth reading."

"I loved this book for so many different reasons. I've read almost all Nicholas Sparks novels and I either love them or hate them. I think this one is so moving because it follows life closely. Rarely does my life reflect those novels where guy gets the girl and everything is hunky dory. This one showcases the bittersweet aspects of love, duty, family, and choice. It's real, emotional, and worth reading."

"I was really disappointed with this book. The concept was great but execution was poor. Maybe I don't have that weird Brit humor, but it seemed contrived and didn't flow well. It was a fight to finish it."

"LOVE LOVE LOVED this book!! It was completely unexpected. More than anything, it left a real sense of how MUCH God loves us and desires the very best for us. And the best requires us to trust Him and let Him guide us.

Jessie is just a normal girl searching for the man God has planned for her. Well, like all of us, she's unconventional and often goes her own way. God gently guides her back to show her who He is and that He has planned her love story as a reflection of the love He has for her! It's an amazing story and I highly recommend it."

The Trouble With Lacy Brown (Mule Hollow Matchmakers, Bk 1) ( Love Inspired, No 318) )

"I highly disliked this book. Sure there were a few funny points but I was quite annoyed with Lucy. For being a "christian" book, there was not true seeking of Christ's will. It seemed like she knew what she wanted to do and just decided "Oh that's the will of God" and went off on her mission. Her mission to change everyone else and not herself. This seems to be the trend with christian romantic fiction these days. Fluff. And forcing everyone around to change to their perspective; never learning or accepting or changing into a better reflection of Christ. In addition, she always assumes she's right (especially in her relationship with Clint) causing many problems because of her stubborness and pride. So I'd give this one 2 thumbs down."
