Iris Johansen is one of the very few authors who can not only hold a story line throughout a book--but for over 14 books is simply phenominal! Her incorporation of Bonnie, Eve, Joe, Jane and then Catherine in the different stories keeps us begging for more! In "Blood Game" a new character, Nancy Jo is woven intricantly into the story line, drawing Joe even further into Eve and Bonnie's world as well as being a significant part in the solving of horrific crimes. Not just another book in a series, but a continuation of a phenominal story-line! bogie

As with all the other Daniel Silva books the story line is excellent and the plot ever changing, but integrating a portrait and an SS Nazi and making it plausible was amazing. As soon as we put down one we are reaching for the next. bogie & tene'

At the time it was written, The Defector was the strongest Gabriel Allon story line yet. Carrying over Grigori Bulganov and Ivan Kharkov with the ever vivacious Chiara (now as his wife) ensures a fast paced and enjoyable story line--hard to put down and reaching once again for the next book! bogie & tene'

The ninth book of the series is no less intense than the first--Eve's daughter Jane starts the book out with a bang and the intensity only heightens throughout the book, encorporating McDuff, Jock and Venable as well as Eve and Joe. Her story line is strong, believeable and engaging--you always want more! bogie & tene'

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water...not that many folks think it is safe to go into alligator infested swamps and small islands in a body of water is a safe place to be! Once again Johansen weaves in characters from earlier books--some like Kistel obviously bad and/or evil--some obviously good like Joe and Megan--and then you have that other category with Montalvo--is he good, is he bad--what measuring stick should you use? Lastly there comes the union we all new would happen but just didn't know when--what union--why of course Bonnie and X?X?X?X?X--you just have to read Quicksand to find out! bogie & tene'
