Another excellent read from Karen Marie Moning. Dageus MacKeltar is the younger of the MacKeltar twins, "a man with one good conscience and thirteen bad ones" A fantastic story with a hunky highlander, what more could you want?

LOVED THIS!!!!! It has my two favorite things - ancient scottish warrior and 21st century woman! There were a few holes in the story (what happened to the guy in the dungeon? and Gwen's twins?) but it was very well told, and HOT!

This highlander is by far my favorite of the series, although all of them are yummy! What's great is you get a little more of him in some of the later books. Be warned though, once you have read one of the books in this series you are going to want to read all of them - and they are definately all nighters ladies!

I love this book! it follows Dageus MacKelter, who we're introduced to in the previous book, kiss of the Highlander. The MacKelter boys are by far my favorite characters in her series, and she spends 3 books on them.

Dageus is struggling with 13 evil Druids living inside of him and must overcome them by finding and fighting the modern day Draghar sect seeking to free the 13 druids and take over the world.

This sequel is a great romantic fantasy that should provide Karen Marie Moning with a loyal cross genre audience awaiting her next book. The story line is action-packed, filled with tension, and never slows down even when the lead heroes debate their fate and attraction. The good vs. evil battle will hook fantasy readers with its feel of authenticity even with magic, incantations, and otherworldly demons. Ms. Moning seems heading to the read realm of greatness with THE DARK HIGHLANDER proving she is one of the best writers on the market today

The other two books in this series are great also but this one will always be my favorite. At the time it came out the story was so different and the romance was more erotic than any other book out that it really grabbed your attention. Dageus is a great alpha male:) You might as well start looking for the other two if you get this one, you'll definitely want to read them too!

Darker, sexier and more serious than Moning's previous time-travel romances, this tall tale is every bit as entertaining. A Highlander from the 16th-century versed in both ancient Druid magic and the many ways in which to love a woman, Daegus MacKeltar is an enchanting hero as well as his own worst enemy. At the end of Moning's previous book, To Kiss a Highlander, Daegus used his Druid powers to travel back in time and save his twin brother, Drustan, who would have otherwise perished in a fire, but in doing so, he released the spirits of 13 evil Druids, who now reside inside him. In his search for age-old texts that may hold the key to re-imprisoning the spirits, Daegus meets ever-curious Chloe Zanders, a Manhattan antiquities lover. When she accidentally stumbles upon his collection of "borrowed" texts, Daegus holds her captive, which leads to a number of hilarious exchanges and heady encounters. The tension, sexual and otherwise, hits a boiling point when the two travel to Scotland to face Daegus's demons. Chloe's cheery disposition is a perfect foil for Daegus's brooding sensuality, and their clever banter leavens the weighty plot line. This wild, imaginative romp takes readers on an exhilarating ride through time and space.

Loved that we finally received a follow up with a secondary character from a previous book (Dagues is Drustan's brother from Kiss of the Highlander) and wasn't left hanging as in some of Moning's other books (WHAT HAPPENED TO DUNCAN!!!) I love books with dark, disturbed heros and Dageus is the best one yet! The ending fell a little short for me...would of preferred a little more action. I do think Moning's heroine's are starting to feel somewhat contrived...always wee little 21 century virgins with mostly/all dead family...really!?!? Still this book is a great read!

Dark Highlander, is one of my favorites. It shows the amazing healing power of love. Dageus gave up his soul because he loved his brother, Chloe's love saved his soul and his life. This book about Dageus develops the character in more depth. Karen Moning shows an ability to go deeper with Dageus than other characters in her stories. Also there is a greater exposure of the father and his new bride, Silvan and Nell. I would like to a story based upon them, simply because they are already in relationship with history and more mature with a different perspective- faced with raising 2 boys Silvan has opportunity to teach the Druid ways and Karen has the opportunity to share a richer story that doesn't end with the usual stop gap of romance novels. Dageus holds more depth and consideration due his characteristics that I found refreshing. Of the series this was my favorite by far.

This was a pretty good story even though I felt the ending was a bit rushed. There were some great laughs and I found it a good addition to the series. Although, I'm beginning to wonder if I'm the only one who's seeing a pattern in the author's obsession on over-sized wedding tackle? Good grief!

Highlander Dageus MacKeltar used ancient druid magic to save his twin brother from dying in a fire. But this caused the release of the spirits of 13 evil Druids, who now reside inside him. Working to rid himself of these evil spirits, Dageus meets Chloe Zanders and holds her captive when she sees his collection of stolen ancient texts. Soon Dageus and Chloe travel back to 16th century Scotland to face the demons inside him.

I found this book to be too cheesy for my tastes. The "dark" magical plot is hokey, the heroine is a bland ditz, and the constant repetitious descriptions of the hero's hotness are tedious. Too many cliches even for a romance novel, and the use of faux olden-times words like "mayhaps" and "twas" are kind of embarrassing. It's the poor woman's Kresley Cole, and I didn't finish it.
