Yep. Cars blow up a lot. Donuts get eaten. And even though I've been there and done that, there were parts that made me laugh hard. So all in all, a pretty good Stephanie Plum novel. Mind you, it is about as nutritional and deep as a jelly donut, but hey, jelly donuts are good.
This is the first book I've read out of her "Plum" series, but I don't think you really have to read in order. I like Evanovich books because to me, they are an easy, fun read and Eleven on Top didn't disapoint. Can't wait to read her other books.
Great read. Again Janet Evanovich keeps you going with Stephanie Plum and all her antics. If you haven't read any of the Stephanie Plum series, this one is a great one to start with. Once you read it, you'll be hooked and want to read all of them.
Janet Evanovich is working her way up the numerical scale and I hope she never stops. In the 11th of her series, Stephanie Plum, intrepid bounty hunter quits her job in search of a more satisfying career. Crammed with loveable and laughable characters, 11 on Top is a fun read.
stephanie is thinking her career as a fugitive apprehension agent has run its course. shes been shot at, spat at, cussed at firebomebed mooned and attacked by dogs. time for a change. i love janet evanovichs stephanie series
Always a good read! For all of you fans, right in the beginning LuLu decides to try bounty hunting on her own, catches her man, has sex with him (cause he is hot!) and ends up naked, handcuffed to the bed!
Evanovich continues the laugh-out-loud series with version 11. Stephanie Plum, New Jersey Bounty Hunter, is an accident waiting to happen while she rescues and is resued by the two men in her life. This series has plenty of attitude and great characters.
As an avid Evanovich fan, I must admit that I've been disappointed with some of her later books. The plots were insipid, the characters boring, and they just weren't as funny. But I'm happy to report that Evanovich is back on top of her game with "Eleven on Top".
The halarious Stephanie Plum is doing what she does best, creating havoc while doing her job as a bounty hunter. Her love life is intriguing, but if you have read them all since "One for the Money" some of the plot lines are really old by now. Still a funny story.
Love Stephanie Plum!!!!! Quick read and I laughed so hard I had to stop reading to wipe away the tears!!! I look forward to each of her books. I can't wait for the paper back so I by the hard cover. Hopefully someone wants it. Its too good to sit on my shelve. If you have read the first ten your ready to start reading.
I love her books. This one is just as good as the others. She is quits being a bounty hunter. She goes thru jobs the way she goes thru cars. You won't be able to put it down and you won't be able to stop laughing
Note: Full size hardcover book! Continuing Saga of Stephanie, Ranger, Morelli, Lula and the gang. Stephanie actually quits her job as a fugitive apprehension agent. After trying the button factory, the cleaners and the doughnut shop, she ends up working for Ranger....yep!
Poor Stephanie is thinking her career as a fugirive apprehension agent has run its course. She's been shot at, spat at, cussed at, fire-bombed, mooned, and attacked by dogs. Time for a change. Fun reading!!!
DreamSE22 reviewed Eleven on Top (Stephanie Plum, Bk 11) on
This was an excellent book, as most in this series are. I really liked the twist the overall plot took with Stephanie taking on a different job. I think it opens up the series to many more enjoyable possibilities! The ending didn't have as much of a punch as some of its predecessors, and I really hope Evanovich continues on with the series.
Stephanie never fails to amaze me and tickle me at the antics she comes up with while trying to get her man! This too was a good and fun read! Can't wait to see what kind of mischief she gets into in the next book. If you don't laugh out loud while reading her books their is something wrong with you! lol
Another action-packed and humorous chapter in the continuing saga of Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter. Evanovich's style pulls you into the story quickly and before you know it, you are spit back out and craving more. I love this series!
Stephanie Plum is thinking her career as a fugitive apprehension agent has run its course. She has been shot at, spit at, cussed at, fire-bombed, mooned, and attacked by dogs. Time for a change, she thinks.
Stephanie Plum is thinking her career as a fugitive apprehension agent has run its course. She's been shot at, spat at, cussed at, fire-bombed, mooned, and attacked by dogs. Time for a change, Stephanie thinks. Time to find the kind of job her mother can tell her friends about without making the sign of the cross.
So Stephanie Plum quits. Resigns. No looking back. No changing her mind. She wants something safe and normal. As it turns out, jobs that are safe and normal for most people aren't necessarily safe and normal for Stephanie Plum. Trouble follows her, and the kind of trouble she had at the bail bonds, office can't compare to the kind of trouble she finds herself facing now. Her past has come back to haunt her. She's stalked by a maniac returned from the grave for the sole purpose of putting her into a burial plot of her own. He's killed before, and he'll kill again if given the chance. Caught between staying far away from the bounty hunter business and staying alive, Stephanie reexamines her life and the possibility that being a bounty hunter is the solution rather than the problem. After disturbingly brief careers at the button factory, Kan Klean Dry Cleaners, and Cluck-in-a-Bucket, Stephanie takes an office position in security, working for Ranger, the sexiest, baddest bounty hunter and businessman on two continents. It might not be the job she'll keep for the rest of her life, but for now it gives her the technical access she needs to find her stalker. Tempers and temperatures rise as competition ratchets up between the two men in her life--her on-again, off-again boyfriend, tough Trenton cop Joe Morelli, and her badass boss, Ranger. Can Stephanie Plum take the heat?
Between the adventure and the adversity there's attitude, and Stephanie Plum's got plenty in Eleven on Top.
I save Evanovich for when I need a laugh. I love her characters and the ridiculous situations they get themselves into. In this one Stephanie quits the bail bond business and tries out other, safer, careers but someone from her past keeps blowing up her plans ... literally. Enter Ranger and Morelli two of the sexiest men in literature.
ELEVEN ON TOP by Janet Evanovich: Stephanie Plum, Trenton's favorite bondswoman, is having a career crisis. She decides she no longer wants to be threatened, beaten, shot at, burned or blown up as a bounty hunter so she resigns. Her first new job is at the button factory but she is fired before she starts as she is late on her first day. Then she is hired at Kan Klean, to the delight of everyone who wants her to take their dry cleaning in for them. That lasted two days. In the middle of her trying to get into a field with less excitement and more security, an old client is talking and scaring her, so, in essence, its business as usual. The regular cast of characters remains in place and, as usual, Stephanie survives none the worse for her latest misadventure. Maybe she is the cat with more than nine lives.
Stephanie Plum, Trenton's favorite bondswoman, is having a career crisis, from dry cleaner to factory worker. Most of them don't last a full working day, so it plunges Stephanie back into the always seedy, often dangerous, and always colorful world of fugitives who'd rather flee than face their day in court. She may be tired of having her life threatened, her cars torched or blown up, and her apartment broken into, but one thing she can say about her job is that it's never boring... and neither is she. Despite her intentions of going straight at a job with a little more security and a bit less excitement, an old client won't let her--he keeps leaving her threatening notes, stalking and scaring her, and making sure she needs the protection of the two men in her life--Joe Morelli, the sexy cop who's been bedding her since high school, and Ranger, the even sexier tough guy who can take down the meanest fugitive around but has a tender spot in his heart for the plucky Ms. Plum.
