More twists and turns than a pile of spaghetti! One of Cussler's best yet. I tried to finish it in 1 day but fell asleep about 1 am, and finished it the next. I wanted to know what happened THAT badly! Kidnaps and captures all over the place/world: a kidnapped child, a captured (former) GI, then another kidnapped woman, then Juan and MacD are captured by the evil Burmese military, then Linda is captured, and aNOther child kidnapped. The action never stops. And there is good description so you can 'see' the action unfolding, especially the rescues. Of course super duper technology helps he good guys. A terrific read that to use the cliche' is 'nonstop action right till the end.'

Another fine adventure tale of Cabrillo and the good ship Oregon.

And there are the dark and twisted thoughts of a man bent on near-global domination. To pull off their latest mission, Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon must survive them all. A devastating new weapon unleashed in thirteenth-century China...a daring rescue in the snowbound mountains along the Afghanistan/Pakistan border...a woman gone missing in the jungles of northern Thailand and Myanmar...for Cabrillo and his crew, all of these events will come together-leading to the greatest threat against U.S. security that the world has ever known
