Entertaining and cute, but I found the characters to be rather snobbish.

I am neither middle aged nor southern, so I'm not sure why I thought I would enjoy this one. I loved Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood And I had hoped this would be similarly charming. I was really dissapointed. It was at worst gossipy, snobbish, moralistic, and predictable...at best it was a sappy tale of lifelong friendship. I did listen to the entire thing hoping something scandalous would happen eventually...so it must have some redeeming qualities. My mother would love it, but it was not for me!

I just finished this book and I thought it was so cute. It was a little mean, but very funny and definitely entertaining and worth the listen. I really loved this book! The reader made the book very entertaining. She sounds to me a lot like Rue McClannahan and it was fun. Listen to it! Deshirl
