Another book from the Virgin River series, and I loved this one just as much as the last one. Sweet love stories that can be a little predictable, but if you are looking for a little romance, without the explicit steamy, these are great.

The last one I read was centered around Conner and in this one we get to meet and fall in love with his sister Katie Malone. I love when a series continues through the eyes of another character because you can dive in quick because you already know most of the characters, but you get to see plot development through another set of eyes. Katie is a single mom of twin boys and she is single because her husband died in the war. With a chance encounter with a bad boy actor, she is swept up into a romance. While their relationship was a roller coaster, it was pleasant and enjoyable instead of jerky and annoying.

I would definitely recommend this one from the series, but I would say you may want to read Hidden Summit first, so you know the full back story of Conner and Katie.

Katie Malone and her twin boys are moving to California to start over. They are moving across the country to be near Katie's brother, Conner. But a flat tire leaves them stranded until a group of guys riding motorcycles stop to lend them a hand. Dylan Childress is captivated with Katie as soon as he meets her. While vacationing in Virgin River, Dylan strikes up a friendship with Katie which soon turns into something more. Dylan warns Katie that he's not looking for a long-term romance since he's not a marrying kind of guy. But when it's time for Dylan to return home, he has doubts about leaving Katie behind.

This is the 18th book in the series and, in my opinion, one of the better stories. Both Dylan and Katie are reluctant to get into a serious relationship. Dylan is afraid that growing up with his dysfunctional family will not make him good husband material. Katie already lost one husband and isn't in the market for another. Robyn Carr does a beautiful job making both characters believable and likeable. There are really no surprises in this book, but an enjoyable romance that kept me wanting more. My rating: 5 Stars.

Carr is in good form for this book. A very satisfying and sensitive story. I finished it and wanted to cheer for the happy couple. I sense a new line of stories could grow from Payne, Montana. A town much like Virgin River.

So excited to read this one because I just finished "Hidden Summit" where Katie was introduced. I wasn't too sure about Dylan though but surprisngly they worked well together.

I loved that Katie did her best to make good things come of a bad situation. And the discriptions of Dylan trying to cope with a conversation with a mother of young children were very accurate. It totally made me smile. Add Grandma Adelle and it racked up some fun points in the story.

Good addition to the series.

I enjoyed this book a lot. You don't have to read the rest of the books in the series - this can easily be a stand alone book. I enjoyed the romance between Dylan and Katie , loved the twin boys. Very good, quick read.
