From the moment I first saw this book in the store and held it in my hands, I was drawn to it. I ended up buying it and when I got home and took it out of the bag, the first thing I did was start reading it.

Those first couple of pages captured me and wouldn't let me go. I had to read it and having done so, I can honestly say I didn't want it to end.

I wanted to stay in Celia's head, in her building, and keep delving deeper into the affairs of others.

4.2 out of 5 stars.

This was an easy and quick read for me. I am usually one for fictional stories about magic or dystopian futures, but I also love getting sucked into good ole, people problem fiction. The authors note at the end was inspiring. There were characteristics in some of the characters that I recognized from people I have met in my own life and it made me wonder about what they truly felt inside. About what they were keeping in their own little black boxes...

I'm not really religious but I enjoyed reading this book. Every time I had to put it down I couldn't wait to pick it up again.Unlike a lot of books I have read over the years this book had no grammar errors and the author wasn't too repetitive with the descriptions. I enjoyed the humor and just the story in general.

I really enjoyed the writing in this book. It's definitely a great book to read sitting on a lawn chair in your backyard, which I did. I think if I had read this when I was younger I would have given it 5 stars hands down.

I never saw this movie but I found the book at a thrift store and picked it up. It's a really great story. I was sucked in from the very first page. If I would have had more free time I would have devoured this in one sitting.

I was a little skeptical about this book at first but the long drawn out descriptions that usually get to me with Dean Koontz's writing were not as bad in this book and I breezed right through it. I enjoyed the thrill ride each chapter presented and the villain was much more intriguing.

This was incredibly, hilariously genius. The bluntness of the main character was one of my favorite things about this story.

I had never read a single book by this author until I ordered this from Paperback Swap. I read the synopsis and was totally sucked in.I Read this whole book practically all in one sitting. It was intriguing and emotionally raw. Some parts actually scared me...and that ending, it just wrapped things up in a nice little bow.

This was an interesting story line, but it had parts that got too long winded for my taste. The run on sentences and overly descriptive parts made it hard to read. I had to go back and reread pages several times. I did enjoy the "story" part of the book once I got through all the filler parts. I understand that the idea was to get inside Addison's head, but again there were descriptions of scenes that used words I didn't even know the meaning of and I do have a vast vocabulary. If it was easier to read and decipher the descriptions I would have given it 5 stars.

4.7 out of 5 stars

This was a thrilling read. I liked the tone and the characters. Those long over detailed descriptions just kill me though. If those were toned down and made simpler I would have given this one 5 stars as well.

4 out of 5 stars

I really liked this one just not the parts that were exactly the same as in Hopeless. I felt like I was reading the same book twice. At certain points the wording was the exact same as the first book. I get that it's basically the same book from Holder's point of view, but the repetitions got old and so did the over use of the word "incredible"
