Delivering Knock Your Socks Off Service (Knock Your Socks Off Series)
Review Date: 1/7/2008

Any and everyone that deals with customers will find a nugget in this book. In the office setting, remembering that those one serves are the customers (and reason for your job), there were jewels to apply. As an independent for an international DSA for women's products, I found great tips and made notes for reminders. Great comeback examples and polite "don't do this" examples.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the suspense and the unexpected turns. The quality of detail in the description of locations and situations provided evidence the writer knew the area and work situations. It was so believable.
At one point in the book I realized I was tense and scared what would happen next to the main characeter, Michael.
The who-done-it was so well woven into the story that I hadn't figured it out until I was almost to the point where the author told us. (I was thinking about where I'd stopped reading the night before as I was driving and suspected the guilty party since he'd made reoccuring appearances, but wouldn't have guessed the connection to the murder.)
Have loadned it to another murder mystery fan, then this will be posted to share.

Wondering if all Meltzer's book are this involved?

What fun to read with a grandchild about how two grandmas and both wanting to help. Encourages extended family involvement in sports - in a entertaining manner. Helps kids see that grownups don't always agree on the same method of support or even how to coach.

Finally a series that places women 50 and over in a positive light!

I am so glad the second book continues to show the friendship and adventures of the original HFC members and introduces new characters. The women deal with life issues from births of grandchildren to death of an inlaw. Yet it isn't just humore for the sake of humor or dramatics of personality clashes. You'd think these were women from across the fence or down the hall at work.

Pleased that Nancy Thayer has given my age a series to which we can relate. We don't have to read dreamy over-the-top romances (unless we want trashy fiction), we can now read about women in a positive real life fiction - and laugh until we pee ;-)

If you haven't learned the uplifting rhythms found in this music style, the book provides a good way to learn them. It includes fairly easy on up to intermediate songs. Print is crisp and clean.

I purchased this songbook a while ago and use it every Christmas. Filled with standards; categorized by traditional, children's, religious, etc. While this is a hardback the pages in a wired binding. (Sorry I'm not a librarian so I don't know what to call it but it is better than a spiral which catches pages.) Music note size and text size decent enough for a casual 'sing around the piano' - in other words, they can see the notes and not be breathing on the pianist's shoulder.
Wouldn't trade it - will probably give to one of my kids.

I ordered without the description explaining the level of skill. I was pleased to find most of the songs are written for an intermediate piano player. I remember one that could be for an advanced beginner.
This copy will not get relisted any time soon, as I am enjoying songs from the movie at my current skill level.

The first time I picked it up to read I ended up reading 100 pages. The story of twin sisters with vastly different appearances: one who is striking, the other could easily be overlooked. The conflict below the surface of which has the better life: the urban dweller or resort/rural gal, the painfully shy or the manager of a business focused on superb customer service.
Second in a series by this author.

This book arrived on accident, so it sat a while. I'm a Grisham fan though. It took me a couple chapters to start to get into the theme. I readily admit to attending football more for the family social aspect than for the interest in strategy and game. So I hope that explains my viewpoint.

I couldn't feel sorry for a washed up jock (get a life and work like the rest of us) until he took the offer in Italy. Somehow reading about someone who had such a passion for his sport that he'd go to Italy, live somewhere he'd never visited, didn't know the language, culture, etc.

The details Grisham picked up about the lifestyle, food, entertainment, even the countryside made this so enjoyable that when I realized I only had one chapter remaining I was a bit sad that it was ending.

There are enough football play/strategy details that I suspect my husband might even read the book and enjoy it - before I post it!

I picked this book up on a lark - wanted something to read while I waited 2 hours in line during March Madness. Just wanted something to occupy the time, but ended up I read the entire book.
I would consider it a soft blend of romance, murder mystery. I judge murder mysteries by whether I figure out the 'who done it' before the last chapter and I changed my mind several times through this book.
The author must have some experience in relocating to a small established community and is familiar with Amish traditions. You're still considered the 'new kid' after living there for 20 years!
Will most likely try another one of her books.

A pleasant read where a career girl, who has physically suffered from stress and conflict, goes to a rural area and finds herself - as well as falls in love. Good concurs Greed, and they live happily ever after.
I'd recommend this if you've had a stressful week/month/year as a good escape.
