I loved this book! I thought the stories intertwined so smoothly, and were easy to keep track of. This book kept my interest until the very end. I'm not usually a historical fiction reader, but this book not only was interesting to me but it also got me interested in the beginnings of the Mormon church, which led me to more great books.

I am not a chick lit reader, but I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I read it about 3 years ago and I can't remember where or why I bought it, but I still find myself thinking about it after all these years. A very fast, easy read.

Awesome book! I love true crime, and this one did not disappoint--I think it might actually be my favorite of the genre! The book is very detailed, yet these details just make the story more interesting. My only complaint would be that it gets a little hard to keep track of so many characters. It would have been nice if there was a page or two in the front that lists details about the characters. I have seen this in other true crime books in the past, and it was very helpful.

For the most part, I enjoyed this book. It was a very quick read. The characters seemed real and the plot was very interesting. My only complaint was that the book seemed to end prematurely--I wish it went further in explanation of what happened to the characters.

Excellent book! I couldn't put it down. Realistic story about adoption and multiple families trying to find out what exactly defines a person as a parent. I didn't think it was possible for a book to stir such emotions in me.

I enjoyed this book. It never knew Tim Allen was into quantum physics. But it doesn't read like a textbook. It is actually interesting, with a lot of humor thrown in.

Awesome book, along with every other book in the Imponderables series. I love the author's style of writing. It seems very funny and down-to-earth, yet informative. This book (as well as most of the earlier books in the series) is a bit outdated, but still well worth the read.

The plot seemed interesting, but for some reason I just couldn't get into this book. I stopped reading it halfway through. I felt that the book was slow and dragged along at times.

Interesting account of Kmart's history. However, the book is repetitive at times and the writing style is very simplistic. If you're interested in retail history like I am, I do think you should read this book, because unlike Walmart, there do not seem to be a lot of books about Kmart's history.

I really enjoyed this book! I was scared to read it at first, because I read a lot of negative and neutral reviews about it online. However, I think some people are always looking for a moral to the story or some philosophy. This is just a good story, no thinking required. I only liked 2 of the main characters, and was disgusted by the other two, but that just adds to the story. I recommend this book to anyone.

Loved this book. It has earned a permanent spot on my shelf. The story is engrossing and it is a quick read. I think I read it in a matter of days. A story that you think about long after you have finished reading it.

I loved this book. I really enjoyed learning about another culture and the family's journey of acceptance into America. The author's style of writing is very beautiful. I also enjoyed the film, but not as much as the book.

I loved Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, but I just couldn't get into this book. It moved slowly and didn't capture me like Snow Flower did. I stopped reading halfway through. Very disappointing.

I'm not typically a historical fiction reader, but at my mother's suggestion, I read this book. I'm glad I did! You actually feel like you're in the story. Beautifully written.

I couldn't put this book down. I can't believe that things like this still go on in America. Elissa Wall is a very strong woman, and this book is an inspiration.

This book is OK. I enjoyed the modern parts, but the historical accounts tended to drag a little bit. Definitely not a light, quick read.

My favorite book of all time. The characters seem so real, it's almost like you really know them. Everything seems so realistic. It's a very touching, quick read. The movie is also excellent.
