Second book in the GhostWalker series. I didn't have any trouble jumping right into the series with this book though.

There are so many people who rave about Feehan's books, so I keep trying them even though she comes off as such a heavy-handed writer. But this was much better than I was expecting, especially once you get past the initial boy-meets-girl stage and further into the book. Interesting premise, and in this case there's a better dynamic between the main characters (er, after you accept that they just sort of belong together for no known reason). The action and pacing worked well, and the heroine wasn't totally vapid and helpless!

So if the premise sounds interesting to you but you're not a fan of Feehan's Carpathian series, this one might be worth a try!

I believe this is the second book in the Ghost Walker series for Christine Feehan and this book is HOT! I found it gripping, action packed, a real page turner with hot romance as well! I LOVE all of Christine Feehan's books and this one does not disappoint!

This is the second book by Christine Feehan that I have read each from completely different of her series. Both characters, inadvertantly, had black hair and blue eyes and are very slender, small-boned, waiflike (Kate Moss anyone?). Feehan's heroines were "trying" to exert a type of "strong, 'I am woman, here me roar'", but both of them were whiny and in turn was very difficult to get into. Dahlia wants Nico to understand that she will not settle for him if he doesn't let her help him find a killer. (Boooooring!)

As some members have written that her books get better, it is hard to see that as authors have talent or not and Feehan's books are like reading Romance 101; overly-flowerly love scenes, whiny heroines, too Neaderthalic heroes, and chapters that go on forever and in essence does not leave you wanting to read again.

I ordered the book because I was hoping to give the author another shot as her first book I read could have been a fluke. I will not be choosing anymore of Feehan's books and in turn, if anyone is truly thinking of choosing anyone of Feehan's books, I highly recommend going and looking for another author as she just spits out books without thought and true revision. (Found MULTIPLE errors in both books I read.)

I have read many books by many different authors and she has definitely become one of the WORST authors I have ever read.

I was surprised at how much I liked this...although it's pretty graphic sexually. (which is not always a bad thing...lol)

I am primarily a fan of Feehan's Dark series but enjoyed this book. For those of you not into a lot of sex in a novel, this is for you- a couple of scenes but more about sexual tension. Contains alot of technical and physics lingo easily appealing to the scientific mind.

I really liked the fact that Ms. Feehan is trying to imbue her prose with a little science, but in the end it really reads like one of Chris Claremont's X-Men comics from the 80's.

In Shadow Game (2003), Feehan introduced the GhostWalkers, a group of men with military training and scientifically enhanced psychic skills. This sultry and suspenseful follow-up focuses on the exploits of GhostWalker Nicolas Trevane, who sets out to rescue Dahlia Le Blanc, a government operative with astonishing telekinetic talents, from her secluded residence in the Louisiana bayou. Nicolas's mission is fraught with danger. Not only is Dahlia emotionally unstable (she can make objects go up in flames when she's particularly upset), she's also been targeted by a traitor who has hired mercenaries to kill her. As Nicolas and Dahlia evade their pursuers and attempt to unmask the traitor, they forge a strong emotional bond. Dahlia fears her psychic powers may rage out of control if she makes love to Nicolas, but their passion culminates in a love scene that, while hot, only involves a handful of harmless flames. Feehan's newest offering is as swift-moving and sexually charged as her best vampire romances (Dark Destiny, etc.), with none of their florid prose. In short, it is an electrifying read, one that should satisfy her fans and cement her reputation as the reigning queen of the paranormal romance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, just like all the others. Feehan does a good job of developing the characters, plot and the bad guys. She keeps you guessing till the end and always throws in a little extra unexpected bit at the end. She is one of my favorite authors and can always be relied upon to provide a great read. Warning: A bit too heavy on the erotica for young readers.

"Mind Game" is the second book in Christine Feehan's GhostWalkers series. This novel stands on its own, however, and it is not necessary to read the first book in order to appreciate this one. I think the plot and pacing are much better in "Mind Game" than in the former novel, however, and the characters are more fully developed.

This book was instantly intriguing! The horror of experimenting on children becomes one of those horrid things you can't look away from. The search to help a woman who, because of the experiements, is exceedingly dangerous... will leave you satisfied. Because Feehan allows you to see this woman's past, you are rooting for her. She has never known closeness with anyone except Lily, and she believes Lily is an "imaginary friend" from childhood. How do you get close to someone when you're afraid? And when you're afraid, fires start and death happens. The right man was picked for this job.
As is usual with a Feehan book the "romance" is less romance and more instant sex morphed into relationship. The sex, however, descriptive and well written! Her development of a relationship in fairly non-existent, but there is an explanation offered for it in her books, and if you can jump the bridge of disbelief, you can sink into this world she offers.
I truly enjoyed this book. I liked the paranormal offering of a group of people exploited to create "super" powers.... who discover the betrayal and are now using their powers to uncover the injustice.
Definitely worth the read!

This is the second book in the GhostWalkers series. I did not like it as much as the first. It was mostly just Dahlia and Nicholas all the time. It did not have quite so much sex as the first novel, but I would liked to have other character involvement.

I am going to continue with the series, I do like the writing style of Christine Feehan, so I hope the series gets better.

2nd book in the trilogy. In this book Niko goes on a mission to find Dahlia, one of the little girls that Dr Whittney enhanced when she was a small child. Dahlia starts fires with her physic powers and sometimes she can't control herself. Niko finds her and rescues her, then of course falls in love with her. They share some exciting adventures. Good book, you will want to have the third book in the trilogy available to read as soon as you finish this one.
