This book is written from the perspective of a teenager with autism. The story is beautiful and draws the reader in to the life of an individual living with autism. Not only do you see events from the child's perspective, but the author brings to life the real problems and struggles of caregivers.
Wonderful book giving insite into the mind of the autistic. Great story....witty, charming, touching. HIGHLY recommended.
A great book to help understand the mind of an autistic person. I am a teacher and even though this book is fiction, it really helped me to understand a few of my former students better. I read it in a couple of days.
Interesting style of writing. Gives one a better perspective of how different, and yet, the same we all can be.
Interesting insights into the mind of a boy with autism. Parts are funny and others are heartbreaking. Overall very good story.
a interesting and quick read.
This book is so compelling - really a much more interesting "Rain Man."
A very interesting glimpse into the life of someone who thinks very different than the majority of us.
A pleasant, refreshing viewpoint on every day occurrences. Life skills vary depending on your needs, capabilities and desires. This novel proves that these variations still show that we can all arrive at the same result. I appreciated the authors method of elevating an autistic young man to the forefront. Reading this reminding me of watching a film in rewind mode, editing and piecing it back together in absolute sequence that makes perfect sense.
My wife did not enjoy this book.
an odd book, but interesting
